Popular on-air personality (OAP) IK Osakioduwa recently sparked controversy with his views on women and work.

During an appearance on Toke Makinwa's "Toke Moments" podcast, Osakioduwa expressed his belief that women were not created to work, but to provide companionship to men.

He stated, "God never sent a woman to work. God made Adam and placed him in the garden to till the ground. He created a helpmeet to assist him, not with the work, but because Adam was alone. The Bible says Adam was 'all one,' while every other animal had a pair. That's why God made woman. The purpose of every woman in a man's life is companionship; if I had to summarize it, I would say it's 'peace of mind.'"

Osakioduwa also discussed his marriage, emphasizing that he has never and will never split bills with his wife.

"I'm not wealthy, but I'm not looking to my wife's pocket for anything," he explained. "Sometimes she might see that 'IK's money is tight' and she might offer to help. I don't ask her to, and if she does, I repay her as soon as possible. It's just my way of operating, though I know others might do things differently."

He added that his wife is never responsible for their children's school fees.

"I know many men who split costs 50/50 with their wives. I will never do that; my wife doesn't even know how much the kids' school fees are. She knows the amount but has never had to pay it and never will," he asserted.
