Nollywood actors Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson have buried the hatchet following a public feud over who holds the title of Africa’s biggest actor.
The two actors, who had clashed earlier this year, were seen in a new video embracing each other at the premiere of Funke Akindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa in Lagos.
The drama began in March 2024 during the first episode of the Prime Video original reality show Ebuka Turns Up Africa.
Zubby Michael confidently declared himself Africa's "greatest actor," prompting a sharp rebuttal from Timini, who argued that Zubby was not bigger than him.
Zubby, in a playful but assertive response, boasted about his financial power, claiming he could buy Timini.
The rivalry escalated when Timini fired back, mocking Zubby’s status and accusing him of flashing borrowed cars on social media to maintain an image of wealth.
"You don’t know shit about who I am. Just because you have all these your Igbo connects that borrow cars for social media, you think you’ve seen me finish?" Timini said.
However, the tension seemed to dissolve when the two actors were spotted in a lighthearted moment at the premiere.
In a humorous exchange, Timini jokingly conceded, "You can buy me," with Zubby laughing in response. The reunion, marked by friendly camaraderie, shows that even the fiercest rivals can make amends, leaving fans hopeful for future collaborations between the two stars.
