Controversial social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has raised over N52 million for his newly unveiled Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in just 48 hours, thanks to overwhelming public support.
The NGO, launched to promote community development and improve public school infrastructure, received donations from supporters after a heartfelt appeal on his Instagram page, @verydarkblackman.
In a video shared on Saturday, October 12, the activist called for contributions, reaching out to prominent figures like Davido and Cubana Chief Priest. He assured transparency and accountability in managing the funds.
By Sunday, October 13, VeryDarkMan posted screenshots showing the donations, expressing gratitude to contributors who gave as little as N500.
“Most of the money that was contributed was from N500 down. It means most of these people no get, but they want to support me. The love is massive,” he shared on Instagram.
This major fundraising effort follows ongoing controversies surrounding VeryDarkMan, particularly his public feud with crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, over allegations of bribery and corruption.
Despite the backlash, the NGO launch has attracted widespread attention and backing.
