Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has shared her experience of feeling abandoned by her celebrity colleagues during one of the most challenging moments in her career.
In a recent post, Savage revealed how she expected her fellow celebrities to support her when a private $extape of hers went viral on social media.
However, she was disappointed when none of them publicly stood by her.
"When my sextape went viral on social media and a lot of people were talking about it, I thought my colleagues who are also celebrities would stand by me, but none of them made a post to support me in that difficult situation," Tiwa wrote.
She went on to explain that the lack of support has led her to change how she interacts with others in the industry.
"Since then, I don’t support people anymore because when I needed the support the most, none of the people I once supported turned up for me."
Despite the emotional turmoil, Tiwa Savage also shared some good news, revealing that the explicit video has been deleted from all social media platforms and devices.
"Thank God the video has been deleted from all social media platforms and all devices," she said.
The leak of the tape in 2021 caused widespread controversy, sparking conversations about privacy, victim-blaming, and support within the entertainment industry.
