'Tinubu Is A Bad Person,' Aisha Yesufu Calls Out President Tinubu Amid Nigeria's Economic Hardship
Amid the worsening economic situation in Nigeria, activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu, declaring him responsible for the country’s economic struggles.
Her remarks came in response to Senator Ali Ndume’s statement, which suggested that those advising Tinubu were the cause of Nigeria's current economic difficulties.
Ndume, who represents Borno South, expressed concerns that certain individuals within Tinubu’s administration were driving harmful policies, leading to rising inflation, a destabilized exchange rate, and soaring prices of fuel, food, and essential goods.
According to Ndume, these individuals are working against Tinubu’s efforts to improve the economy, making the president appear ineffective.
“I believe President Tinubu means well for Nigeria,” Ndume said, adding that his advisers were misleading him with poor advice.
However, Aisha Yesufu firmly rejected this view, holding Tinubu himself accountable for the situation.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu wrote, “Tinubu is the bad person. Call a spade a spade and not a garden implement,” directly blaming the president for Nigeria’s economic hardships.
Yesufu’s critique has resonated with many Nigerians, who are grappling with the effects of the government's controversial reforms and policies.
As inflation continues to rise, her comments highlight the growing frustration with Tinubu’s administration and the increasing demand for tangible solutions to alleviate the economic crisis.
