Nigerian artist Portable Omolalomi has dismissed allegations of domestic violence brought against him by his former partner, Queen Dami.
In a live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Portable denied the accusations, asserting that he has "never beaten" her.
Addressing the claims, Portable clarified that he only asked Dami to refrain from participating in midnight live videos, a request he feels was misinterpreted.
“I have never beaten Queen Dami before. I only told her to go offline when I saw her on the live video at 12am. How can I beat you and you will still be in my house for two years, enjoying and doing photoshoots back to back?” he questioned.
Portable also accused Dami of inappropriate behavior, alleging that she sent explicit images to other men while living in his home.
He explained that his decision to marry her was out of compassion following the passing of her first husband, the Alaafin of Oyo, and a desire to support her son from that marriage.
“I don’t love Dami. It’s because of Alaafin’s child that I married her out of pity,” Portable revealed.
He highlighted his efforts to care for Dami and her child, insisting that his actions would not have displeased the late monarch.
The singer concluded by reiterating his dedication to his current wife and business, describing his wife as his “investment.”
The allegations have ignited discussions on social media, dividing public opinion on the matter.
