Maverick singer Seun Kuti has recently revealed his involvement in the ongoing controversy between famous cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. This conflict took a sharp turn when VeryDarkMan released a voice recording, allegedly from Bobrisky, claiming that he bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with ₦15 million to dismiss money laundering charges against him.In the leaked recording, Bobrisky is heard boasting that he never spent a single day in prison despite being convicted and sentenced to six months of imprisonment. He further claimed that his influential godfather arranged for him to serve his time in a lodge, shielding him from the harsh reality of jail.However, Bobrisky was quick to dismiss these allegations on Wednesday, asserting that the viral recording was fake. He maintained that he served his sentence in prison as required by the court.Amidst this unfolding drama, Seun Kuti disclosed that he played a crucial role in the exposure of Bobrisky's alleged bribery. According to Kuti, he was the first person VeryDarkMan confided in regarding the existence of the recording. Speaking in an Instagram live session, Kuti said, “You people are late to the party. I was the first person VeryDarkMan informed about the story. I gave him the go-ahead to expose Bobrisky.”Meanwhile, the EFCC has summoned both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to its Lagos State office in connection to the ₦15 million bribery allegation. The two have been invited to provide further information and assist in the ongoing investigation into the claims surrounding the recording and the accusations of bribery.
