The House of Representatives in Nigeria has summoned key figures, including the EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, the Nigerian Correctional Service Comptroller General, social media personality Bobrisky, and activist VeryDarkMan, over serious allegations of bribery and corruption.
This stems from accusations involving the EFCC, following Bobrisky's imprisonment on Naira mutilation charges, after the court dismissed money laundering counts. A leaked audio recording shared by VeryDarkMan revealed Bobrisky discussing how he allegedly paid N15 million to EFCC officials to drop certain charges. VeryDarkMan disclosed the recording after Bobrisky reportedly failed to repay N4 million borrowed to settle the alleged bribe.
An investigation has been launched, with the EFCC chairman urging both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to assist in the inquiry. The House of Representatives is also actively involved in investigating these claims.
