Jesse Jagz, a prominent singer and rapper, has called on Nigerians to reevaluate their perspective on religion.
He asserted that the deities of African traditional religions are inebriated due to the alcohol offered to them by priests during rituals.
Jagz explained that this is the reason these gods appear overweight, suffer from diabetes, and are ineffective in assisting their devotees.
During his appearance on the ‘Big Talk’ podcast, the artist criticized adherents of foreign religions for merely praying and anticipating miracles without taking action.
He highlighted that prayers alone do not address the need for essential social services.
“When you go to a shrine and you see the priest pouring gin on the gods, Google how much a bottle of gin was in slavery. 40 slaves.
“Our gods are drunk on alcohol and meat. They are obese and diabetic.
“They can’t help us do anything. Prayers do not build roads or buy books for children. We have forgotten humanity,” he said.

He asserted that content creators have the financial means to purchase up to four Lamborghini vehicles.
The skit creator elaborated that the content creation sector is highly profitable due to its daily consumption by audiences.
In a recent interview with Echo Room, Josh remarked, “If you want to buy 4 Lamborghini from content creation), you go buy am.
“What do you think we are doing in the content-creating industry? Are we joking? You all are with your phones, when you’re in the bathroom, when you’re pooing, you’re consuming our stuff. It’s like pure water.
“Businesses that people consume on a daily basis, make more money. People are out there, consuming our content every time.”
