Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the upcoming November governorship election in Ondo State, has expressed strong disapproval of the recently concluded Edo State governorship election. He claimed the election in Edo was rigged in favor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo, despite the people allegedly voting for PDP's Asue Ighodalo.
Ajayi, through a statement by his media aide, Ayo Fadaka, condemned the result as an assault on democracy and declared that such malpractice would not be tolerated in Ondo. He vowed that the PDP would work to ensure a fair and transparent election in November, emphasizing that Ondo would not allow a repeat of the alleged electoral irregularities seen in Edo.
