Former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and announced a temporary departure from active politics. Speaking on Channels Television's Politics Today, Chidoka confirmed that he had notified his ward chairman in Anambra State earlier today about his decision.
Chidoka revealed plans to focus on his non-profit organization, the Athena Centre, which aims to collaborate with Nigerians to reform the political system. He emphasized his commitment to promoting evidence-based governance and contributing to systemic political improvements.
Chidoka previously served under the Goodluck Jonathan administration and was also a former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). This move signals his shift from partisan politics toward advocacy and institutional reform.
