Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential aspirant of the Labour Party, has stirred conversations after declaring that the concept of "miracle alerts" is a fabrication by pastors.
Obi made this statement during a podcast interview with comedian Nedu Wazobia.
Addressing the topic, Obi shared insights from his personal experience, emphasizing his religious background.
"When I say these things, trust me I know. I come from a very religious family, so do not think I am saying this to ridicule anyone," he said.
The former governor went further to explain that even his brother, who is a Reverend Father, has never experienced such supernatural occurrences.
“My brother is a Reverend Father, and he has never prayed, and money came into his account," Obi said.
He categorically stated, “There is no such thing as miracle alerts. It is all fake. These pastors are just making it up.”
He urged Nigerians to channel their energy into productive ventures instead of relying on prayers for financial breakthroughs.
Obi's remarks have sparked debates on social media, with opinions divided over his critique of certain religious practices.
