The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has called on Nigerians to seek God’s forgiveness and guidance to overcome the current economic challenges facing the nation.
The monarch made this statement during the fourth annual “Odun Olodunmare” celebration, which took place on Saturday, November 9, at his palace in Iwo, Osun State.
Addressing attendees, Oba Akanbi stressed the importance of national repentance and a return to spiritual values.
He emphasized, "At this time, Nigerians need to turn to God for forgiveness and wisdom to resolve the economic difficulties confronting the country. We must all come back to God, as I am doing today."
The Oluwo further highlighted the need for divine intervention, urging Nigerians to reflect on their actions and seek forgiveness, particularly for any ingratitude towards God.
“We need God’s help, and we must all turn to Him for wisdom so that these challenges can be lifted,” he concluded.
The "Odun Olodunmare" festival, celebrated annually in Iwoland, is dedicated to invoking divine blessings and spiritual renewal.
