A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed dissatisfaction over the Federal Government’s payment of ₦3,600 as transport allowance after the orientation camp in Jos, Plateau State.
The corps member, in a lighthearted yet frustrated post on X (formerly Twitter), shared a screenshot of the payment and tagged GIG Motors, humorously asking if they would accept the amount for his journey from the Southwest back to Jos.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria has sent me transport fare to head back home after my NYSC. Dear @GIGMobility, I hope you can accept this and take me back to Jos, Plateau State, from the Southwest,” he wrote.
His post has since sparked conversations online, with many criticizing the allowance as insufficient given the high cost of transportation across the country.
The Federal Government has not yet responded to the outcry from the corps member and others who have voiced similar concerns.
