Borno State House Speaker Abdulkarim Lawan has raised serious concerns over the safety of Nigeria's Vice President, Kashim Shettima, due to the recurring use of a "faulty" presidential aircraft. This follows an incident at JFK Airport in New York, where the aircraft sustained damage from a collision with a foreign object, forcing Shettima to cancel his planned attendance at the Commonwealth Summit in Samoa.
Lawan called on the Federal Government to urgently acquire a new aircraft for the Vice President, citing multiple recent incidents that have raised questions about the aircraft's reliability and safety.
