The Nigerian Army has declared 43 soldiers wanted for desertion after failing to report for duty in Borno State to fight Boko Haram. These soldiers were assigned to the 403 Amphibious Brigade in Baga, Borno. According to a statement signed by Major HO Akoh, the soldiers were required to report by October 31, 2024, but remained absent. The Army has since frozen their bank accounts and alerted other military formations to apprehend any of the soldiers if encountered. The situation reflects the Army's strict measures to address desertion and ensure that personnel adhere to deployment orders.
