Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has acknowledged that President Bola Tinubu is aware of the economic hardships caused by recent policies, including the removal of petroleum subsidies and the floating of the naira. Since taking office in 2023, Tinubu has implemented these measures to stabilize Nigeria's economy, which has led to price hikes and financial strain for many citizens.
In an interview on Channels Television, Governor Sule conveyed the President's understanding of the difficulties but expressed optimism, noting that these reforms, although challenging, are temporary. He reassured Nigerians that there would be improvements over time, emphasizing that Tinubu had previously informed the nation that the journey would be tough but necessary for long-term benefits.
