The House of Representatives has expressed dissatisfaction with the recent National Honours awarded by President Bola Tinubu. Specifically, the House rejected the award of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) given to Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, stating that it was unfair for Senate President Godswill Akpabio to receive the higher honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON). This sentiment was voiced after a motion raised by Philip Agbese, arguing that the House of Representatives is not inferior to the Senate, and both leaders should receive equal recognition.
