Popular Nigerian gospel singer Moses Bliss has debunked rumors circulating online about him and his wife welcoming a child.
Taking to his social media, Bliss clarified that the speculation stemmed from an old photo that has now been misinterpreted.
"This is a picture from three years back. That was when my twin sister put to bed. The child is not ours," the singer explained.
Bliss acknowledged the good intentions behind the congratulatory messages he has received but emphasized the need for confirmation before spreading such news.
"I know you all mean and wish us well, so I just wanted to come out here and let you all know. I've received a lot of messages of congratulations," he added.
He expressed optimism about having a child in the future, stating, "One day soon, hopefully, but for now these news of us welcoming our first child is false."
The singer's statement highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing, especially in the era of rapid social media dissemination.
