In a heartfelt reflection, Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has expressed her deep concerns about the state of the world and its impact on children.
"The world is becoming a scary place. Hold our kids, O Lord... we dedicate them again and again to You," she wrote on her social media platforms, urging parents to prioritize prayer and guidance for their children.
In her post, Johnson shared her daily ritual of reflecting on the alarming changes she observes in society, particularly regarding the behavior of youth.
"Every morning when I wake up and at night before I go to bed, I sit back and reflect on what the world is turning into... I see what kids do in the name of money or sometimes in the name of love. What do they know about love?" she pondered.
Her message resonates with many parents grappling with the pressures their children face in a rapidly changing environment.
Johnson emphasized the importance of spiritual protection and parental involvement, saying, "It's scary; that's why we have to pray and guide our kids on the way to grow. I ask God to protect these kids for us."
She concluded with a powerful reminder: "For every parent out there too, always put your kids in prayer and leave the rest to God. Because you can only do your best."
Johnson's poignant words reflect a growing concern among parents about the influence of societal changes on the younger generation, underscoring the need for collective vigilance and care.
