Petroleum marketers in Nigeria have resumed importing petrol due to the Dangote Refinery's inability to meet its production targets. Despite the refinery’s goal of producing 25 million liters of petrol daily, it has only been able to generate about 10 million liters. This shortfall has prompted the importation of about 123.4 million liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) through four vessels that recently arrived at Nigerian seaports. The arrival of these shipments, reported between October 18 and 20, helps to ease concerns over a potential fuel scarcity.
