Nigerian TikTok star Jarvis, renowned for her distinctive robotic acting, has become the subject of widespread discussion after undergoing surgery in Nigeria for a recurring tumor.
A Nigerian man, who claims to have faced a similar health issue, turned to TikTok to caution Jarvis about the risks of having such procedures done locally.
He explained that surgeries in Nigeria often leave parts of the tumor behind, which can cause it to return with greater intensity.
Sharing his own experience, he revealed that after three failed surgeries in Nigeria, his family eventually raised funds for treatment in India, by which time the tumor had already caused severe facial deformities.
He added, “If any part of the tumor remains after surgery, it will come back bigger and stronger in the future.”
The man recommended that Jarvis seek treatment in India, emphasizing the importance of receiving expert care for her condition.
It has been a month since Jarvis's surgery, and reports suggest that while the tumor initially appeared to shrink, it is now showing signs of returning, potentially more aggressive than before.
Fans of Jarvis have expressed concern for her health, with many urging her to consider seeking medical treatment abroad.
The situation has also ignited discussions on the state of healthcare in Nigeria and the difficulties faced by patients in need of specialized treatment.
While Jarvis continues to be a beloved figure on TikTok, her health struggle highlights the need for improvements in Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure and the importance of pursuing advanced medical care for complex conditions.
