LIFAN Energy Inaugurates 24-Hour Electricity Initiative in Ibadan Estate
LIFAN Energy has made a significant stride in the energy sector by ensuring a constant electricity supply to the Wellspring Estate in Ibadan, Oyo State.
At the commissioning ceremony of the 24-hour electricity project, LIFAN Energy's Managing Director, Engineer Anya Chukwu, detailed the workings of the initiative.
Engineer Chukwu explained, “There is a control room equipped with a braking unit that uses 110-volt power to manage the entire control system. Inside this room, a control panel manages the external transformer, with cables connecting the transformer to the incomer panel within the box section.”
He further elaborated on the infrastructure, noting, “We have installed two transformers and the control room is supported by a 5KVA solar power system, ensuring that the tripping unit, which is the control center's brain box, remains operational at all times. The current and voltage transformers from the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) are essential for metering, and we have incorporated a 1KVA transformer specifically for powering the estate.”
The second transformer, according to Engineer Chukwu, is dedicated to providing uninterrupted electricity to the estate's 115 apartments. “Today, we are commissioning the electricity in the estate. As you can see, the apartments are lit, and the street lights are operational,” he remarked.
Highlighting LIFAN Energy's longstanding commitment, Engineer Chukwu said, “This 24-hour electricity supply project allows residents to manage their power needs conveniently. Our goal is to bring light to the world, and for over twenty-five years, we have been providing consistent electricity to various companies and communities.”
LIFAN Energy's project at Wellspring Estate stands as a testament to the company's dedication to enhancing the quality of life through reliable energy solutions.
