The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Ijanikin Police Station, Lagos State Police Command, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has tragically passed away after slumping in his office on Thursday night.
According to information gathered by RantHQ Blog, Olugbenga collapsed while on duty and, despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, was pronounced dead before he could receive medical attention.
An officer from the station, speaking anonymously to reporters, confirmed the death and stated that the atmosphere at the police station has been somber since the incident.
The officer revealed that Olugbenga’s body has been moved to the mortuary.
"He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him," the officer said.
As of the time of this report, the Lagos State Police Command has not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
