The Nigeria Police in Imo State, alongside the Nigerian Army, successfully rescued four kidnapped victims during an operation in Ezioha, Mbaitoli Local Government Area. According to the police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, the operation targeted a kidnapping syndicate linked to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed group, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
During the raid, one suspect was killed while others fled with injuries. The rescued victims include Eze Okoro, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Nwosu, and Bartholomew from Benue State. Recovered items from the criminals included weapons and explosives, alongside a Biafran flag. The police continue their efforts to track down the fleeing suspects.
