The legal counsel of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Aloy Ejimakor, has raised concerns about the isolation of Kanu by the Department of State Services (DSS). Ejimakor claims that the DSS has blocked all visitation to Kanu, including access for his legal team, which violates court orders allowing routine visits. The isolation has reportedly been in place since Kanu's last court appearance on September 24, 2024, following his request for the recusal of Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako, a decision that was later overturned. Ejimakor is worried about Kanu’s well-being, questioning whether he is "hale and hearty" due to the lack of contact. The DSS has not yet responded to these accusations.
