Nigerian activist and content creator, VeryDarkMan, has responded to Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of the Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, in a heated exchange sparked by church testimonies.
The conflict began after VeryDarkMan publicly criticized some of the testimonies shared by Lord's Chosen church members, labeling them as exaggerated and misleading.
One such testimony involved a woman who claimed to have disarmed three armed robbers carrying AK-47 rifles by invoking the power of her church’s signature apron.
According to her, the robbers handed over their guns and fled after she used "the God of her pastor" to command them.
VeryDarkMan expressed strong skepticism about the claim, questioning the authenticity of the testimony and accusing the church of misleading its followers.
This sparked backlash from the Lord's Chosen community, leading Muoka to issue a warning to VeryDarkMan, urging him to stop mocking the church.
In response, VeryDarkMan took a personal jab at Muoka, referencing the death of the pastor's two wives.
He stated, "If you had power, your two wives would have been alive. You lost your first wife in 2010 and the second one recently. You for just wear them una Chosen apron and dem for no die. I heard the kpai mysteriously."
The remarks have further fueled the ongoing controversy, with many weighing in on the debate between faith-based claims and skepticism.
VeryDarkMan remains steadfast in his criticism of the church, while supporters of Muoka continue to defend the testimonies and spiritual practices of the Lord's Chosen movement.
