The Nigerian father who was detained in Edo state for sharing explicit photos of his three-year-old daughter on the internet claimed that he did so in an attempt to help her become well-known.
When he was questioned by the police following his arrest on Sunday, May 12, the man claimed in a videotaped interview that he didn't mean any harm when he uploaded her pictures online.
As his daughter is too young to be a comedian, he stated that all he wanted for her was to become a model.
‘’I did not mean to harm anybody. I have been so used to watching content creators, comedy and others. I felt she is too small and cannot be doing comedy. I started to bring her up in the model way by wearing model dresses like ‘catapult pant’ to cover herself and make her as a model. This month, May 28 is her birthday. I went to do her birthday bash. I posted it on her page and it went viral.''
The distressed father responded when asked if what he was doing was right.
‘’I wanted her to become a celebrity''
The Edo state administration is currently in charge of the young child.
As a result of the minor's semi-naked videos and pictures causing a stir on social media, Auchi police on Sunday, May 12, 2024, arrested the minor's father, according to RantHQ Blog.
The young girl was pictured in some photos wearing skimpy attire while visiting a hotel with her father and a few other men.
