In a recent explosive statement, rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West addressed his controversial past actions and the darker side of the music industry.
Reflecting on his infamous act of peeing on a Grammy award, West explained, "The world thought I was mad when I peed on the Grammys. I saw what Diddy and other people did to young musicians to give them the Grammys, and I had to save them by publicly showing it is useless."
West continued to shed light on his personal experiences, revealing how his refusal to conform to industry pressures led to his financial losses.
"You all saw how I went from a billionaire to a millionaire because I refused to follow what they wanted me to follow," he shared. "I’d rather be broke and have my life than be a billionaire who can’t sleep at night."
The outspoken artist also warned about the dangers of succumbing to the darker influences of the industry. "The Devil doesn’t know when to stop; he will use you and disgrace you when he is tired. Seek God," West urged.
Known for his candid views, West’s latest remarks have stirred up further debate about the entertainment industry’s inner workings and the price of fame.
West's remarks follow barely a month after the arrest of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
Diddy was taken into custody by authorities on charges of sex trafficking, drug abuse, and other offenses.
The investigation remains ongoing at the time of this report.
