"I Can Still Settle Down At 54, But He'll Have to Double Up": Shaffy Bello Opens Up About Marriage and Independence
Shaffy Bello, a renowned Nollywood actress, has opened up about her views on marriage, emphasizing that while she remains open to the idea of remarrying, it would require a partner who can match her hard-earned success and independence.
In a candid statement, the 54-year-old actress declared, "I can still do marriage, but if a man wants to marry me, he'll have to double up." Bello, who was previously married to Mr. Akinrimisi from 1995 until their separation in 2020, explained that after years of building her career, she would not compromise her achievements or lifestyle for any relationship.
"I have worked so hard to be where I am today. I am not sacrificing anything. I'm not some twenty-something or thirty-something woman," she continued, adding, "At this stage, take me to Greece, I wanna go to Paris, take me traveling. I can do it for myself, so if you're going to marry me, you're going to have to double up."
Despite her success and independence, Bello affirmed that she is still open to marriage, though it would take someone exceptional to win her heart. "Will I still marry? Yes. But you'll have to be some heck of a guy to make me say I do again," she said. "If that doesn't come along, Shaffy is doing well for herself."
Reflecting on her previous marriage, Bello has spoken highly of her ex-husband, describing him as a "very good man" and a dedicated father.
However, she acknowledged that the marriage came to an end due to the challenges posed by distance and her decision to prioritize her career over family life.
As Shaffy Bello continues to thrive in the entertainment industry, it’s clear that her journey remains one of self-empowerment and unyielding ambition.
