The University of Ibadan recently experienced severe flooding, resulting in the destruction of students' property, including books, foodstuffs, documents, and other essentials. According to reports, the flood occurred on Friday and primarily affected the Awo Hostel, where approximately 16 rooms on the underground level were completely submerged. Students have reported significant losses, including damage to belongings stored in cupboards, with many students away for examinations at the time. The damages caused by the flood are estimated to be in the millions of naira, leaving students in distress.
