Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh recently opened up about her decision to divorce her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, calling it the best choice she has ever made. In a candid exchange on Instagram, the actress shared advice with a fellow single mother who had reached out for support.The woman, who messaged Dikeh privately, asked how she managed to cope after her ex-husband left her and their son. In response, Dikeh corrected her, clarifying that it was she who had made the decision to leave the marriage. She explained that she walked away not only for her own well-being but also for the sake of her son.Dikeh responded, saying: “First and foremost, I was the one who chose to walk away from my marriage, not the other way around. I needed to escape a difficult situation, not just for my own sake but for my child as well. Best decision I ever made.”She continued by empowering the woman, reminding her that she has the strength to become the person she aspires to be, as long as she remains committed to her personal growth and invests in herself. In her public Instagram post, Dikeh shared the same message, offering words of encouragement to other single mothers."Dear single mothers, I don’t have a manual for these things. I am neither a pro in this movement," Dikeh wrote. "My biggest teacher has been love. I just let God do His thing, and His thing is enough for me. Draw strength from God, and most especially, keep your family matters private."Tonto Dikeh's marriage to Churchill ended in 2017 following allegations of infidelity and domestic violence.
