Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was rushed to the Police Hospital in Falomo, Lagos, on Wednesday after complaining of breast pain.
The incident followed his detention at the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Lagos.
According to police sources, Bobrisky was transported to the hospital around 2 p.m. after voicing discomfort.
Initial reports pointed to health concerns, but sources later suggested that the ambulance trip was strategically timed to coincide with his possible transfer to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU).
Speculation arose over whether Bobrisky's medical condition was genuine or a pretext to manage his transfer with less public attention.
An insider revealed that Bobrisky was complaining of severe breast pain, prompting the urgent hospital visit just before the transfer, which was supervised by the Commissioner of Police for SFU.
Before being taken to the hospital, Bobrisky was isolated in a separate holding area at the FCID, guarded by two armed officers.
The transfer to the hospital involved a police ambulance with the number plate LLD339LP, escorted by a female nurse and a fully armed officer.
While in the ambulance, Bobrisky identified himself by his male name, Idris.
The timing of the incident has continued to fuel speculations about its link to his transfer.
