Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has called on Nigerians to be patient and support President Bola Tinubu's administration, assuring that his policies will soon begin to yield positive results.
The minister made this appeal during a relief distribution event in Anambra state on Wednesday.
As part of efforts to alleviate the economic hardship faced by Nigerians, Mrs. Kennedy-Ohanenye distributed 5,000 10kg bags of rice, 500 bags of fertilizer, and 300 3kg gas cylinders to residents of the state.
This gesture, she noted, was part of the federal government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens amid ongoing economic reforms.
Speaking at the event, the minister expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s economic strategies, emphasizing that Nigerians will see tangible benefits in the near future.
"I appeal to you to be patient with him; in no distant time, his policies will begin to yield results, and we will all benefit immensely," she said.
She also encouraged residents to take advantage of the federal government’s social security initiatives, designed to cushion the impact of current challenges.
Basil Ejidike, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state, also commended the president's efforts, highlighting the significance of the relief provided to the state’s poor and vulnerable.
"President Tinubu has our support, and we will work to ensure APC wins come 2027 in Anambra state," Ejidike stated.
The event underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to ease the economic burden on citizens while urging patience as reforms take effect.
