In a recent meeting held by the Bauchi State chapter of Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stakeholders voiced a clear message to the Federal Government: more needs to be done to ease the daily struggles faced by Nigerians. They urged citizens to support their leaders with prayers while expressing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Following a critical stakeholder meeting in line with the party’s constitution, the APC in Bauchi State released a communiqué emphasizing the importance of federal interventions. They highlighted the need for rapid action on the Bauchi Gombe Oil Project, which, when completed, promises economic growth and job creation in the region. The Federal Government must act urgently on this project for the collective benefit of the area and the country as a whole, the statement read.
The meeting, attended by various members of the state’s APC Executive Committee and chaired by Alhaji Muhammad A. Hassan, displayed solidarity. The stakeholders showed their support for President Tinubu and expressed confidence in his administration's two ministers from Bauchi. They committed to fostering peace and unity within Bauchi APC, emphasizing that a stable party means a stronger platform for addressing the needs of the people.
One of the key recommendations from the meeting was to ensure that palliative distributions intended for Bauchi State are directed through the state’s elected and appointed representatives. This approach aims to ensure transparency and equitable distribution, reaching those who need it most. We want to see fairness and equity at all levels of distribution and in upcoming congresses, primaries, and general elections, declared the communiqué.
The Bauchi APC also announced plans to hold quarterly stakeholder meetings to keep members aligned and committed to the party’s goals. These sessions will provide a forum to address challenges and keep the party accountable to the people it serves. They also committed to discipline, promising to enforce policies impartially for all members, regardless of status.
Acknowledging the hardships faced by citizens, Bauchi APC stakeholders made a clear appeal to the Federal Government: We call on the Federal Government to do something to alleviate the sufferings of the people. As the nation confronts economic challenges, the call is a reminder that collaborative and targeted interventions are essential to support Nigerians.
The Bauchi APC’s recent resolutions reflect a commitment to unity, accountability, and the welfare of the people. With a focused agenda, the party aims to work closely with both state and federal representatives to ensure that promises made to Nigerians translate into tangible benefits. By rallying together, the APC in Bauchi is determined to push for sustained development and a brighter future for the citizens of Nigeria.
