Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has opened up about the toll her demanding schedule has taken on her appearance and energy levels.
Despite being born in 2002, the singer expressed feeling "old" compared to individuals born in the 1990s, who, according to her, appear more youthful and energetic.
In an interview with Rode during her time in Nairobi, Kenya, Starr humorously lamented, “I have met people who were born in the 90s and they’re so vibrant and so young. I’m old and I was just born in 2002. I want to stay home, I want to sleep.”
The rising star also reflected on her creative process, saying, “I feel like the more I make music, the more I recognize what my path is and what I’m trying to do.”
Known for her electrifying performances and hit songs, Ayra Starr’s comments shed light on the challenges that come with balancing a successful career in the fast-paced music industry while maintaining personal well-being.
