‘A Man Who Could Not Manage Is Presidency Is Advicing Tinubu’ – Afenifere Chieftain Throws Shade At Obasanjo

Recently, Afenifere’s National Organising Secretary, Kole Omololu, rebutted Obasanjo’s Yale address, in which Obasanjo criticized Nigeria under Tinubu, calling it a "failing state." Omololu argued that Tinubu’s economic reforms, like subsidy withdrawal and forex rate unification, have improved Nigeria's revenue and trade balance, noting Nigeria's higher Stock Exchange index and Transparency International rankings compared to Obasanjo's tenure.

Omololu also highlighted perceived managerial and anti-corruption improvements under Tinubu, countering Obasanjo’s assessment with statistics on revenue and debt service.
